Four’s a crewed
It always seems strange when Terry and I have so much time with the boat to ourselves to have the “guest suite” occupied but it’s a great joy to have the company of friends. Quite apart from the quality social time, sharing our love for the sea and tropical islands reminds us of just how fortunate we are. Art and Sharon are regular crew now but they do have a reputation for bringing strong winds and even storms with them. This time all went our way, a quiet motor sail up to Guanaja, our favourite Island, anchoring of Grahams place, our favourite beach bar then a great sail down to Jonesville, a couple of heavenly days in West End and suddenly the week has gone and we are back in RYC for their flight home.
Its always a pleasure but this time espeially so because the weather gods were kind and even the freezer compressor committing Hari-Kari could not get in the way of the fun.. Last year when they came we tried to get a window for sailing but ended up pretty much static because the winds were wicked but this time we got two great sailing passages and some quiet flat water motor sailing so no excuses. The Picture is taken at Luna in West end with a collection of other sea gypsies to welcome A & S to the fraternity of cruisers.
So. big thank-you to both for leaving the wet and windy behind and bringing sunshine into our life once again. Art is threatening to write a blog for this site so the truth will out..
