All @ sea
The dawn broke grey with a slight drizzle and a big tanker drifting across our path. The plan was to anchor last night until around 4 am but the westerly wind we are waiting for came through early so we upped anchor and headed out just before midnight to head for Utila. Seminole Wind has salt water under her keel again and is rolling happily down wind. this is always a challenging passage as the winds prevailing winds come out of the East and Utila is - guess what? To the east straight into the wind so when a light westerly comes along you grab it - even motor sailing in a light tailwind beats the hell out of a 100 mile beat to windward.
So here we are motor sailing at 7 kn, half way there and thanks to my mate Elon I can spend my time boring everybody with my blog. Starling moves in mysterious ways its wonders to perform.
